You’ve stumbled upon a collection (in progress) of articles and profiles I’ve written through the years for various publications.

I’ve worked as a freelance writer for several years, and before that was associate editor for the Carolina Alumni Review in Chapel Hill.

I’ve also been associate editor for The New Physician, a magazine for the American Medical Student Association in Reston, Va.; covered Capitol Hill for The (Durham, N.C.) Herald-Sun; worked in media relations for the University of North Carolina athletic department; and was a reporter at Sports Illustrated in New York.

I earned a bachelor’s degree from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at UNC-Chapel Hill and a master’s in journalism/magazine publishing from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
